trip meter reads Err, why?

trip meter reads Err, why?
I tried last week and no help. Isn't there anyone who has an idea why my kingQuad 700 trip meter reads Err. Trip meter A is ok and works fine, but trip B reads Err. Some one had to put some time into programing the thing. Dealer no help and Suzuki Company no help.
Please, someone put me out of my pain!
