Although most of us have been pretty sure this was coming, in the January issue of 4-Wheel ATV Action, they say that Suzuki has been testing this quad but didn't get all the bugs worked out for 2001 so we will see it for sure as a 2002 model.

 

Did they state whether or not it's a two or four stroke engine? What about the tranny, is it shiftable, centrifical or belt driven? Any other useful information would be appreciated.

its a sport quad made to compete with the 400ex so it's not going to be auto. and it will be 4 stroke because that is what to dr 400z motorcycle is. if they get the egros right and Suzuki did a pretty good job on the 250r as well as many other quads. and get mor that 30 ponies out of the engine keeping it under 375lbs it will be a very good quad we should see them by early summer if they were set to release them this year it will be a very early 2002 model.
