I?d really appreciate opinions and/or feedback?

I have a 2005 Eiger 4WD / manual shift..

Lately, I?ve begun to notice what I can only assume is ?gear noise? when riding in 4WD-HI. When I let my dad ride it, as he was riding away, it sounds almost like the sound that would be made by a stick or something stuck under the atv, and rubbing on a tire..

I ride it pretty easy, and the worst I do to it, is to ride myself and my wife (225 lbs and 120 lbs respectively) on it together in the Sand Dunes in 4WD-HI usually. We just trial ride with other couples, no jumping or anything like that..

Does anyone else have this problem, or noticed this noise?

Is it normal?

Opinions?

Most Eigers have this noise. Even most of the Vinsons I've heard have it, so I assume it's the gears. I've also heard that Square cut gears (gives them more strength) will whine like the Eigers, so it could be possible for them to be square cut gears.
