Custom built Suzuki LT80
#1
Check this out.
The bike started as a Suzuki LT80.
The frame was chopped and completely rebuilt using only the front half.
The front half of the frame was rebuilt using a double A Arm set up like the big sport bikes with 6 inches of travel.
The rear half of the frame was built to eliminate the old LT motor. Instead, Motor mounts were added to fit in an RM80 motor and A swingarm pivot point was added to add sport bike type chain drive and swingarm with 6 inches of travel.
The old drum brakes were tossed and sport bike disc brakes were added all the way around.
Top end right now is around 55 mph in 300 ft !!

Actually, the only reason I even know the speed is because the track owner came to us after an event and expressed some concern about a 9 year old riding it at those speeds.
We have had 2 tracks tell us the kid cant race the bike at their events.
The bike fits perfectly into every 80cc class but were learning some tracks around here are a bit TOO concerned about the speed the little guys are reaching.

Tell them to relax, we had em at 60+ on the flat tracks.
Going straight can't be that hard can it?!
I was curious as I've had motors that dirt dragged. One set a track record.
