LT PV and Non PV engines
#1
Hey fellas,
How do you visibly tell the difference between the LT 250R PV and Non PV motors by just looking at them? I know the 85 and 86 were the non PV motors but I just want to be able to tell by looking at the motors, in case I want to buy a spare.

On the PV cylinders, there is a big **** looking thing that is built into the cylinder above the exhaust. This houses the moving parts for the PV.
The NON PV cylinder does not have the extra mass above the exhaust.

Here is the ebay auction from where i bought my quad. It says its an 88, but I dont think so. Didn't the 88's have the wide seat in the back? Take a look and tell me what you guys think? I don't think my engine has a power valve.
