will the stock shocks off a 05 or 06 Z-400 work on an 04? I know their the same bike but I didnt know whether they changed any dimensions b/c of the new resovoir shocks. Is it even worth getting stock ones or are there aftermarket shocks that are close money wise and worth it?

 

I know the 05 will fit but not sure about the 06 model. but if your buying new stock shocks then dont waist your money. buy aftermarket ones lots cheaper and better built

 

they should fit just fine........... if they are cheap enough they are a nice upgrade, the difference is very significant..........

 

whats the difference between the 2??? I hav elka fronts, but did not know thay made a up grade in the 05-06

 

The '05s and up have reservoir style front shocks and are 3-way adjustable.......... It's nice to be able to dial in rebound and compression separate from each other...... as you probably know from your Elka's............
