I can't seem to keep my quadracer from fouling out the spark plugs. I have tried all different plugs adjusted the float nothing seems to work. I am running 92 octane with 40:1 mix with Belrays good synth. oil. Please help

 

You dont need premium gas in your quad to start. I know that isnt the problem but it is just burning a hole in your pocket. I would guess that your jetting is rich. Belrays is good stuff but before you mess with the jetting try another brand of oil.

 

probably your jetting.Is your plug real black or white when it fouls.Black=to much fuel, not enough air.White=to much air, not enough fuel

 

Yeah my plug is real black and wet with gas. I don't know what jets I have in it the guy I bought it from re jetted it. It has a full fmf exhaust, bored 10 over, k&n filter with no lid. When it does run it hesitates at the begining and screams past half throttle. Any suggestions on what size jetts to use. Thanks

 

How fast are those bikes?? like what bikes have you beaten in a drag?? im talking abt the LT

 

Mine seems to be really fast when it runs right. I haven't had a chance to race anything big yet, but I have a warrior and it makes the warrior seem like it is sitting still. After about ten minutes of wide open runs my forearms stiffen up from holding onto the quad. This thing really rips when it hits the powerband. I have ridden raptors with all kinds of mods and they don't even come close to the Lt. The powerband is insane.

 

I always have had good luck running BelRay in Quadracers. Also, you are going to need that premium gas if there is a higher comp piston in it. I wouldn't just blindly run 87 unless you know for sure what it has. For the record though, 87 will burn hotter than the 92 you are running, and may help the fouling condition to a small degree if your engine can run it. It sounds like your pilot/needle/mix screw need to be adjusted. Start by pulling the pilot and go down one size, throw a fresh plug in and see if she doesn't run better.

 

Thanks I will try that. I knew that 92 gas burns cooler that is why I was using it. Didn't want to cook my engine and the piston isn't a high comp. either so I will give that a try thanks.

 

My book says the stock jet is #240.This might kinda let you know how much they went up on jet size.If it hesitates at first,you might try lowering your needle down a notch or two.If this helps your hesitation and it keeps fouling plugs then you might try a smaller jet.If you dont know how to lower your needle then holler back at me.

 

Since your plug is black and wet, then you really need to pull the jets out and see what size you actually have in there. Then start trying different sizes. Every bike is different after some mods. My uncle and I are running the same setup on our 250R's, but mine requires a larger main jet than his. It is experimentation time.
