Default sloppy wheel movement

I have a 1999 LTF 300 king quad and I had to get new tires. When I took the tire off a noticed that the whole thing moves around real bad atleast an inch in every direction. This is my first ATV I bought it use and now need a little bit of advice on what this could be. Only thing I know is the bearings could be bad I have a manual on the way but any help would be nice. Thanks

Default sloppy wheel movement

Is there a special tool or a certain way to get the bearings out. What i am seeing is after I took the plate off that the tire mounts to there is a spline that it sits in and that spline is where all the movement is. So i am thinking that it is the bearings but how do i get the sealed bearings out. Thanks
