Default Ozark Carb Problem

Well today i took apart my carb on my ozark and cleaned it
i followed all the steps in my service manuel (SUZUKI) and everything went smooth
but once i mounted it up and started it the problem set in
It would idle strong but once i put it past 1/4 throttle it would bog big time
but if i run it with the chocke on it runs fine.
When i cleaned it everything was clean so i nothing is cloged up
There are two things i can think of, one is that my pilot screw might be off. The directions said to turn it clockwise till it set and count the turns, i got 3 and 1/2 but the book says 2 and 7/8 turns. The other thing could be in my floats/needle valve.
So Could you guys help me out?

Thanks
DChip

this prolly isnt your problem, but mine done the excact same thing and their was a piece of small trash in the main jet, if you just cleaned it there shouldnt be anything in it, but i'd check anyway, also i was told after 1/4 throttle is when your main jet kicks in, so it may have something to do with it, did you remove any of the jets when cleaning?
Good luck with it.
Mike

also i seen you put the pro circuit pipe on your ozark, did it help it out any, or is it not worth the money?
Thanks,
Mike

I had a very similar problem you have a month ago. I had a bad tank of gas.

Ok so i took it back apart today and put it back together to make sure i did it right
i remounted it andd made sure the boots were tight
started it up and still did the same thing
would idle good but once u got it past 1/4 throttle it would bog
NOW KEEP IN MIND I DO HAVE A PIPE AND AIR FILTER AND AM STILL RUNNING STOCK JETTING
AND ITS WINTER
SO I ADDED AIR FILTER + PIPE + WINTER COLD + STOCK JETTING = BAD!
so i think my problem is that my jetting is too lean cuz when i run with the choke it runs alot better
so could this be my problem?

And yes the Pro Circuit did add power and thats with stock jetting
i cant wait to see it with new jetting

If it runs fine with the choke on then yes, the motor is running lean and is in dire need of a jet kit.
