These two machines seem to be just alike except the new Grizz has power assit steering but costs $800 more am I missing something or is Yamaha just more money? How do the tranny's compare

As I understand the curve in the rear A arms is not for ground clearance but to reduce the amount of arc that the tire goes through during it's range of travel thus reducing scrub. With the arm swept back like that you don't get as much in and out movement of the tire as it moves up and down as you would with a conventionally located A arm.
Kind of a halfway engineering point between an A-arm and something like the Can-Am rear suspension.
