Hey guys im new to this forum and am very happy to join. I have an old suzuki 250 and i am not sure what this bike is. Its 2 wheel drive chain drivin with a manual clutch, 5 gears and also reverse. The back of the seat is very wide almost moon shaped. The reson im trying to find out what it is, is because I am having problems finding parts for it. I could and pictures but i have all the plastics off, as well as the entire rearend taken apart. So my question to you experts out there is WHAT IS THIS THING?? If I can be of any assistance in describing the look of the bike just let me know. My goal is to rebuild the entire bike.. when i first got it this thing worked great almoost keeping up to my 400ex. TY guys I eagerly await your responses.

I am thinking you have an LT250S Like this one?

 

I would guess it is a Suzuki lt250r race bike. Very easy to get parts for.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

I must have overlooked the "reverse" part.

 

The LT250R is a 2-stroke, and the 87+ model years with the T shaped seat all have 6 speed trannies but no reverse.

 

Scooter86 hit the nail on the head.. thats the bike for sure! I am assuming u own that suzuki and with that in mind do you have a source for parts??

 

LOL, I had an '86 version, but sold it around '89-90. I believe many of the frame/chassis parts from the earlier years will fit, but yours is the 250cc version that was only made for a few years. Plastics and seat are different, the engine was punched out, and I don't know just what parts are interchangeable. A Suzuki dealer can get you what you need though, you can also check out places with online microfiche like Ronnies mail order.
