I believe the cam in my 230 is a webbcam, Im not positive because it was there when i bought it. it runs really good, great mid to high power but when i took off the valve cover i noticed my rockers were getting wear on them. i dont know if its from the cam or just getting old but im not to worried about it. and the gas milage on my quad isnt very good but i figure its from the bigger piston.

Ha ha ha....LMFAO. Gonna put cams in and worry about gas mileage. makes sense to me. in that case, just leave the stockers in and get a little bore kit. Anyway, my 250 uses hardly any more fuel than when stock. The same with my 400. I can ride either one all weekend long and never use a full tank, and i'm talkin riding them hard too. When you start modding a bike for more performance, what does economy matter? It just matters who finishes first. Whoever switched from web to hot cams and said it runs the same probably did not have the engine tuned correctly. You can't just throw in webs cams and expect it to be perfect. Maybe with the hot cams you can just throw em in because they are mild compared to web. I do not have 1 complaint or regret with my web cams. I had a good experience with my 250 first and when I got my 400 I bought web again. If I get another bike, it will no doubt have web cams also. I might even take the comp cam out my camaro and try a web.
