Default wheel spacers

I am looking into spacing out my front wheels a little. anybody have any ideas on a little cheaper alternative than those overpriced kits in the dealer catalogues?

My apoligies for my ignorance. What are the affects of spacing out your front wheels? Is this done due to clearance issues with bigger tires? Is it hard on the bike? What are the gains?

Clearance on the rear, and it looks pretty cool too. I have just purchased two sets off ebay for around $68 CAN shipped. 5" wider overall(2.5" each side. Gonna look mean. Not supposed to be hard on the bike cus you're not putting strain on anything. Supposed to make the bike stable. Silverbacks, did you get my PM on the lift kit?

Not Yet - It hasn't come up in my PMs yet.

I have a one set of spacers that came with studded tires about a year ago from a friend of a friend for next to nothing. I never have put them on. I might just try that tonight.

Default wheel spacers

spacers on the front put stress on the upper and lower ball joints and changes the way the front shocks handle, and turning is harder. if you plan on jumping with it then their not worth the money
