A few week's back I posted about a idle problem I have with this machine. Since then I picked up a carb rebuild kit and installed it. The machine starts up great, Idle's high with the choke on, I let it warm up and ease the choke off and then my problem begins ! can't get it to idle to spec and, the idle is eratic (goes up & down) so I find myself constantly messing with the idle screw but I just can't dial it in. could this be something other than the carb? the choke itself ? throttle cable ? could use some help on this one guys !! Thanks for any replies....

 

those carbs suck my 230 does same thing and ive cleaned carb like ten times

 

I owned an 87 230e for years and the thing never idled very well. My advice, ride hard dont let off the gas.
