Z400 Exhaust - Slip On vs. Full - best brand
#1
Men,
I am wanting to upgrade my exhaust on my new Z. I trial ride. I am looking for more low end torque. Do I need a slip on or full system? Which brand is best? I know I need to open the air box and rejet, but should I replace the front sprocket with a 13T?
As for the exhaust, one requirement is that it is not too loud that the neighbors get ticked off. I have seen good reports on HMF, Yoshi, CT, Motoworks, and Pulse Charger. Thanks for the input.

It really boils down to personal preference. Full systems are the best but that all depends on your budget as well. I have a dr d on mine and it really helped all the way around and it sounds great but its not annoyingly loud as some people might put it!! You can search past topics on the forum and find plenty of good advice on this but it will probably come down to your preference in the end. If you have the room in your budget, go full system if you can, as for the exhaust itself, I think they are all pretty close...but thats just my 2 cents....Good luck in your search
