Default Eiger Flame Thrower

Folks, I am just curious if I may have damaged my Eiger over the weekend. We were on a night ride and a lot of it was on country roads. On the way back I was wide open for about 10 minutes...non-stop.

When we got back to the house there was a 6 inch. blue flame shooting out the back of my exhaust. After shutting it down I peered into the exhaust and it was glowing red inside. Did not know what to make of it.

I have ridden it since then and have not had any issues. Shoul I be concerned?

Thanks,

Drew

you may have messed up the timing on the valves. did the exhaust pop at all when the flame came out? all of the heat may have caused the glowing.

No popping. This flame was shooting out for a while because one of my buddies brought it to my attention when we stopped saying he had notice it up the road a bit.

I shut it down and cranked it right back up. No problems, yet!

Thanks,

Drew

the heat probably loosened up the valves so much they wernt closing all the way so the fire from the engine was coming out. i wouldnt worry about it but you might not want to try that again. the exhaust might have burned also, that might be were the blue flame came from.
