i just picked up my new for me 03 this morning. first impression is I LOVE IT!!!!!! (almost)
it's fast, comfy,brakes well, and just fits my larger frame very very well. the only thing is it has a full white brothers t4 head pipe and muffler and it's waay loud. it is even loud on the bike. i feel sorry for anyone behind me. are there any high performance pipes that are noticeably quiter? it has a high flow airbox,k&n filter and the exh system and a jet kit. it is jetted perfectly right now and i don't want to mess that up and lose power by going back to stock.



any ideas?

are you sure its a white bros. I thought the t4 was made by pro circuit, but I could be wrong. I know you can get the quiet core for the pro circuit but not to sure about the WB

maybe its a procircuitT4 header pipe and WB slipon??


i know what you mean though, the first z400 i rode had a Wb slip on and i couldnt believe how loud it was. Maybe because it was the first sport quad i ever rode (besides a 86 250r about 2 years prior) I could feel it roaring underneith me when i would punch it hahah, must of been around 100-105 DB

i think they removed most of the disks or something in the can

just went out and looked again. white bros r4. sorry.

i will look into a different core or check into if there are discs for the inside.

wanna trade for my non-sparky stock exhaust? mine isnt loud and wont rewuire a jet change to your bike.

i don't think i want to go back to stock, and i believe i would have to change the jetting again. it has been re-jetted for the new pipe. going back to a stock pipe i would be real rich. i am heading to tower city tomorrow for the day. i will decide after that if i can live with it or not.

i say get some ear plugs.
if its loud your buddys will know how far in front of them you are. others will know if your coming or going.

They are all loud, unless you go duals. Either get used to the sound and like it....wear ear plugs....or go deff like me and like it then.
