Is it shift-on-the-fly? It's almost too simple a question to bother starting a new thread over it, but I haven't been able to find the answer. I almost feel like I'm causing clutter by asking such a simple question lol.

Anyway, thanks in advance for the answer.

Okay cool, thanks for the reply kickass210. I'm stuck here, 50/50 between the Vinson and KQ. Each has features I like that the other doesn't have. I like the Vinsons manual transmission (don't really like anything with an auto, including cars), but I like the KQ's locking front diff and IRS. I've been a 'Honda guy' all my life because I hate having to fix things and such, and I've never had a real problem out of any Honda ATV I've owned...but these two ATV's are just so impressive, and seem to be far superior to any Honda on the market now as far as bang for the buck.

Does anyone know how good the Vinsons front differential is? I have to deal with a LOT of mud where I ride/hunt (AR river bottoms)...if I get into a sticky situation, will the Vinson turn into a 3WD, or is it pretty good about both front wheels pulling, even without the diff lock?

thanks again

well i used to lick the manual before but the kq screws u don't even know its an auto. plus its efi and irs. both of those are'nt on the vinson. best thing about an auto is u won't get tired riding it. like u would shifting it every few seconds.
