I have read some threads on here about the brakes i have 2000 miles on my 05 400. i jst changed the brakes week ago i still have slight issue. i woundering if maybe the cable is wore out or not the handle bar brake is weak but not the foot. i adj. but thesame issue occurs. Any help is app. thanks

 

did you measure the drum for a taper?
did you measure the drum for an outta round condition?
If the drum is ok the new brake shoes need broken in to conform to the shape of the drum, with the new brake shoes the only part of the brake shoe thats coming in contact with the drum is the extreme top and bottom of the brake shoe, slowly that will wear off and when all of the lining of the brake shoe comes in full contact with the drum it will work and sto better.
