2005 Eiger Semi - Tranny or Clutch issue
Hi all - New to forum.
I have a 2005 Eiger 400 Semi-Auto. It has 250 miles on it - I had an employee trash it while it was on a job-site recently by pulling 900ft of 5/8th cable that was on a Tulsa 20 ton winch ! What an idiot right ? He's no longer with me LOL
The bike runs fine but it won't move unless I really throttle it up. Can someone tell me if the tranny is screwed up or if he trashed the clutch ?
Is this a repair I can handle myself and if so how much $$ am I looking at ?
The bike is for my children and with summer here, Momma is on my butt to get it fixed for them.
Thanks in advance for any help or advice,
JohnnyO

I would guess they trashed the clutch and after a while it wont even go when throttled way up.
You should be fine with replacing the clutch friction plates and metal discs. I would go with some good Kevlar ones. A complete set of both should total around $100-$120 or so.
I actually have a set of Barnett kevlar plates and discs (6 kevlar friction plates, 5 steel discs) still in their wrappers if you are interested. I mistakenly ordered them for my automatic which of course doesn't use those and waited too long to return them. Shoot me a price if you are interested.
