i need to test the stator on a 1993 Kingquad. Im just not sure how to do it. Any help would be great.

Im looking at the stator now. I have 3 yellow wires from it, and 1 green and 1 black coming from the pickup coil.

I have a digital ohm meter and on the 3 yellow wires im getting 0.5 on all 3 yellow wires.

On the green and black im getting 118.7

So from them readings does that say if there is a problem?

 

Do the pickup coil wires straight to the CDI or do they go somewhere else before going to CDI?

 

Well go it figured out, there was a short half way to the CDI.
