Default manual va auto

I am getting ready to buy a new suzuki vinson. The only problem I am having trouble with is wether to get a manual or an auto. I have recieved votes for both from my friends along with many opinions for each but I am finding it hard to make an honest solid decision. I will mostly use it for trail riding alot of it is pertty hilly and rocky. Every once in a while I will hit some mud holes with my friends and cross a few rivers and such. Any opinions and advice i could get would be greatly apprecieated.

It really just boils down to rider preferance.
Some love the auto's and swear by them, and some hate them.
If you like shifting, get the manual. If not get the auto.
I dont believe you will be disappointed either way you go.

I have a 2002 Vinson auto and would never go back to a manual quad in that utility size. I love manual quads (I have a polaris predator) but for me this quad stays an auto! Just my 2 cents. I did have to do the tranny update on mine though. That sucked when it locked up in the middle of the woods!!!

Thanx for the help I wanted the auto but was afraid it wouldnt handle the mud and water as well as the manual. I think i will go for the auto.

There is a low gear in the auto. Put some good mud tires on it and you will never get stuck. Good luck!
