i dont agree with ltzguy about the suzuki vs yamaha thing but whould buy the lt250 over a 250 raptor. the raptor is a little kid quad and the lt250 is a real quad. if you are looking at lt250s i whould go look for some 250r fourtrax they are sweet b/c of the 6th gear.

Bigned: They are talking about the new 250's that are comming out in sport/race form.
As for the topic question, I'm sure I'd get the Zuki. If the 250 Yam is anything like the YFZ450, I don't want one.

Suzuki ltr250 quadracer is a completely different class of machine and should be compared with 400cc - 450cc four-strokes, not 250cc four-strokes.
The new Raptor 250 is actually positioned against the Z250 and 250EX, and should out perform them both.
At just 315lbs dry, the Raptor 250 is actually a real sport quad. Not just a re-bodied Ozark or Recon utility quad like the Honda and Suzuki.

If you were talking about the LT250R from the 80's 2-stroke race quad .. hands down over the Raptor 250. I expect the new Suzuki 250R 4 stroke quad to still be better than the new offering from Yamaha. For starters they will likely have a better engine design with 4 valves over 2 that the raptor has, and will most likely be geared more towards racing than the trail quad that the raptor 250 is. Having said that, I guess really it comes down to what you want the quad for.
