Default FCR vs. Keihen 42mm

I have a Keihen 42mm from a 05 450r on my z, it runs really well, no driveability problems, awsome throttle response, no flat spots. I was wondering if it would be worth it swapping to an FCR. Has anyone went from one to the other? I hear that it will make more power and have better throttle response. I feel like the way my is running, the throttle response can't get any better. I just hate to go and spend more money for no difference. If it will make the bike a lil faster I'll do it. I just got into running the 300ft. sand drag and I need to make up a bike length or two to put me where I need to be. I'm changing the intake cam to a little bigger one so that will help a bit, but just wondering about the carb.

To be honest, it made the biggest difference out of everything I have done except for the big bore. They were about even. The carb makes a tremendous difference if you get it tuned/installed right. I think I got the carb for like $140-$150, I dont remember. I'm prolly gonna sell it soon. Yes I ran it with the stock bore. Did it lose low end? No. It prolly gained some. Hope I helped you out.

I see in your sig that you have an Edelbrock carb--that is a great carb and dropping-in the 450R carb would be going backwards... The Edelbrock has the externally adjustable needle and if its a newer one, an accelerator pump. I would leave that in there and focus on the other mods you mentioned...
