Default running rich

I have a 1996 LT250-4WD. I bought it in 1999 and within a couple of years it began to run a little rich. It has gotten progressively worse over the years. I rebuilt the carb a couple of years ago but it didn't help. With a new spark plug it runs OK, but as it gets warmer it runs richer. When the spark plug begins to foul it runs worse, and will get to the point that it won't start until you change the plug. Is there something in these carbs that wear out and replacement parts aren't in the rebuild kit? Other ideas? Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Do a compression. I bet the number will be low.

Ya I know. I had the same deal going on with a golf cart. Very rich, hard to start, yada, yada, yada. Took a compression and it was 40PSI. Changed everything out except the cases and now it runs super!!!
Good luck; hope I'm wrong and it just needs an adjustment.
