your right its hard to beat a 2-stroke in a drag race. this guy is coming on here with a 400 telling me he beats raptors all day. anyone with a big 5 raptor should smoke him. all i have engine wise is a pipe k&n intake and pc3 efi durablue axle and ishock 5500 front end. this is why i told him he has a chance on flat ground but thats about it. and if i go into the engine at all i will smoke him like cheech and chong</end quote></div>
I bought a machine that can do everything well and still be reliable. I trail ride, mud ride and drag race. You can't do that with a two stroke drag bike. Like I said before, look stock, do everything well and carry a big stick. You wanna start talking about someone elses ride to race me like a sissy then my neighbor has a drag banshee that makes well over 100 hp. YOUR GETTING OFF THE SUBJECT HERE BUDDY. I originally replied to let everyone know of the Z400's potential...Not to claim it as being a world beater. You are the one who started on me with saying you can outrun me. Ok. You wanna challenge me with your predator, come right on down. I will embarrass you, on my own bike. I'll even bring a bucket for you so you can pick up your poolaris parts that tend to fall off at random. There is a reason you see so many yfz's. 450r's, z400's, and 400ex's and hardly any predators. I think I have seen 2 maybe 3. Next................</end quote></div>
does it sound like i have a predator or a Yamaha raptor 700?

This winter I'm going to strip her down. Powder coat the frame black and polish every piece of aluminum on the quad. If its not shiney it will be black! I still have to fix my seat cover. I bought material from a local arts and crafts store for 4 bucks and I was in a rush to get it on the night before quadfest. I ended up with that one spot that didnt get any adhesive and got a wrinkle. I put it on in like 5 min. It looks worse in this pic than it actually is.
I pretty much copied MacDizzys 270 sleeper motor. Puts out just under 60hp on 110LL on the dyno. The only thing left to do without getting a big bore cylinder is a CR250 ignition which should get me over 60 and add that quick snap to it. With alot of the factory unnecissary junk removed it weighs about 310lbs full of gas

You know, I know alot of people with polaris machines, mostly 4wd machines. Besides the older models having belt slipping issues, I think they are reliable machines. I know a guy that has a old 500 HO on a deer farm. This thing sees more abuse than any thing I've seen. They will load the racks down over 600lbs of feed and take it to the other side of the farm every other day. Plus its driven by all the workers their, and you know how other people take care of your machines LOL. Only ever seen one pred before. It was stock but seemed to run well for a stock machine.

well me and my buddies have an agreement going because of past issues. The deal is: When we go riding in a group no yamaha or polaris owners are allowed. Why? Because every time we have to tow one back and ruins our trip. So far this has worked well. Only kawasaki, suzuki and honda are allowed to ride and we leave the tow ropes at home now.
