Tried to start and one crank until it locked up. It was a solid, mechanical feeling. Could this be anything other than a digested valve? Is there anything in particular to be careful of when tearing down? TIA....

 

sounds like you just need to tear it down and rebuild i would get a new piston possibly a big bore kit if it is all torn up inside. i just had the same problem with a quad and it was so far gone i had to go up to 50 over just to get all the alluminum debris out.

 

Ouch. I'v gotta get this thing back together because its what I use to plow snow and that not long off when ya move as slow as I do. Where's a good place for parts. Any "Kit" reco? Never done one of these and don't look fwd to it! Thanks!!
