Default 87 LT230E delayed clutch engagement

I have a 87 quad LT230E with a semi-auto clutch. I have adjusted the clutch to try and help with a delayed engagement that happens in all gears, but it hasn't helped. Someone told me it is almost the same feeling you get on models that are fully automatic (no shifting). Previous Owner had already redone the clutch.

Any suggestions on how to eliminate the delayed clutch engagement? Feels like it is slipping until it kicks in. Seems to take a few seconds to respond to the throttle action.
