My 2005 Suzuki King Quad 700 is currently at the Suzuki dealer with the top end being re-built. The stock air filter did not protect me against dirt in the cylinder. Here is the interesting thing - I have two friends that have 2006 King Quads. We studied the cage in the airbox and their cage (the one the air filter sits on) sits about 1/4" lower than the one on the 2005. Their stock filter fits down snug, my doesn't. I know that Suzuki knows about his issue, they have a different air box in the 2006 than the 2005.
Anyway, I have been using a foam air filter for the last month and there is a lot of air breather noise in the engine.
Does anyone know of a aftermarket filter that filters well but is quiet? Is there one that is a paper/foam that works well?
I appreciate any help on this.
