tell me how to get enouph power to race

Pretty much everything you want to know is covered in there somewhere. Just asking how to get enough power is too vague. What are you going to be racing?

Bore it out or get a big bore kit. Bigger carb. Better flowing exhaust. The big topic now is cams. Everybody agrees that stage 1 cams will give more power, but the question now is what does stage 2 do.

Figure out a way to get a supercharger or turbo on it and you'll be blowing away 400's.

Well, if you want to blow 450's away like they were made by Tyco, get a quadzilla for about $3000. Then put the rest of the loot you coulda put into a new 450 in the quadzilla and make your wife a widow.

The question is~~ why race a 230? No offence dude, it'd really a good machine, just not a race machine.

 

Why do people want to race lawn mowers??? Some people hop on a shovel a race it down a snowy hill, lol. I don't know, people like to race whatever will move I think.

LT80, what would one have to do to a 230 before you would consider it a race machine? Just curious. Or is it that 1/4 liter 4-strokes are just too small to be exciting for the spectators?
