Default shocks for z400

hey what do you guys think is best for the fronts. what difference does spring rate make? i read the 450r shocks fit do you have to do any mods to put them on? are these the honda 450r or lt450r? also would I be better of with maybe the triple rate elka recs? also anybody ever seen or used the f8 ishocks they look pretty nice and are fully ajustable, but they are only single rate. thanks for your help

Not sure which ones will fit, but the Honda is a 450R and the Suzuki is an LT-R450. If I had to guess, I would think the Suzuki shocks will fit. My wife has a Z400 and I have the LT-R450. I looked at both, and it appears they could fit, but the LT-R450 shock reservours are mounted horizontal and the Z's are vertical. Could cause a fitting issue.

im not sure if the zuki's 450 shocks fit but the honda 450r shocks fit and supposably they are great trail and light mx shocks for the z. if you have the money and race then i would get aftermarket such as elka's or fox floats and personally i dont like works shocks. i dont think it makes much difference on a track if your shocks are single rate or triple rate because you got the compression and rebound to make up for it
