Default Suzuki King Quad

Do you know what years have the caster problem with the King Quad? because i was thinkin of buying one

2007 does for sure, lol. The rest are probably the same, but not sure.

Default Suzuki King Quad

I think all years do.I just bought an 07 and figured I'd give it a try before doing the caster correction. Remember that not EVERYONE seems to have the steering problem for some reason. I plan on setting aside $500 just in case I need it to be safe. Even with that, it's a good machine at a great price.

Default Suzuki King Quad

I have an 07 king quad 700 wondering what this "caster" problem is, if someone could quickly explain it that would be great, thanks

Default Suzuki King Quad

One thing about the King Quad is the fact that it's steering is quite light. The caster is set, by design, at about 1.6 degrees. Most atvs are set at about 5+-... while that helps to ensure the wheels return to "straight" when driving, it makes the steering heavier. Suzuki decided to make the steering lighter...but that also makes the steering somewhat 'twitchy' or I've even heard of a few guys saying it can go full turn right or left, pulling the handlebars right out of your hands if you are not holding on.

There are a couple of ways to get rid of it you can either do a caster mod which involves movin the a-arms you can get a steering stabalizer or you can order new a arms from World Class A-arms
