Default timing the cam on an lt230

Can I just find tdc with a screwdriver and fire it up or do I really need to pull the covers? What am I supposed to do here. I'm confused. I want to avoid opening the clutch cover since I've opened it 3 times on a new gasket and it cant take much more.

I've answered this question like 5 times now... Once in a pm, lol. The plug fires every TDC! Even if you took the cover off, you still won't know anymore than you did, except that you found TDC, lol. TDC is TDC is TDC.... There is no distributor.
