04' Z400 Problem

Default 04' Z400 Problem

I know I know, you dont have to tell me, when I tighten a lug nut, im supposed to use a torch wrench ... well I didnt and i tightened one too muich and i literally broke a lug. Do I need to replace an entire hub or do u think i can replace one lug like on a car?

I think you mean torque wrench haha. Any way yes you can replace just 1 stud, I think a dealer may have to press it in though.

Default 04' Z400 Problem

You can also try taking the tire off, heating up the back of the stud with a torch wrench and then turning it over and hit what's left of the stud with a 1 pound hammer which should brake it loose. Then inverse the process to replace the new one.

Default 04' Z400 Problem

Get a brass drift and punch out the old one(stud) and install a new one.
