Dial a jet?
#1
Has anyone tried dial a jet? If so, how was the installation? does it work right? I want to buy a k&n air filter for my 230 (i have uni now) and i also have my air box lid drilled out but i might fill those in if i get the k&n. I just don't want to go through the hassle of taking the carb apart over and over again to get the right jetting. I know next to nothing about the fine tuning ideas of jets. I think this would be good for me but im not too sure. I think it might be a hassle itself and i have been leaning towards no. If anyone could help me out, i would appreciate it.
Also im looking for somewhere to get lt250r front wheel spacers (around 1.5") for a pretty good price.
Thanks in advance
Also, a new pipe may be in my future so that's why, theoretically, I would think dial a jet sounds right for me.

PoolGod used to have a dial a jet on his 230 before it was stolen. I remember his signature used to say he highly recommended it. .... I'm about to give it a shot myself just because of temp changes and I ride in the mountains sometimes.
Take your airbox lid off and throw it in the garbage.... You'll never need it again. Get the KN filter. Then get the dial a jet and it should be lean enough already so you wont have to install smaller jets. All you'd have to do is install the dial a jet.

Yep they are very cool! Got one for the 260cc I am procrastinating, I mean building. Easy to install, easy to adjust. Get the outerwears for the K & N, won't affect air flow, but will keep water and fine dust out of your engine with the box lid removed. Oh, be sure you get the snorkle for the dial a jet.

Thanks a lot guys!
It sounds like i got me a dial a jet coming in eventually. Along with a k&n with an outerwear. You guys sure ill be fine with the lid off with an outerwear? Often times i am in mud and water so that is the thing that worries me. Although, if i take the drain plugs out also, then any water that gets in will instantly drain out.
anyways, thanks :]
