Since my rear brakes have gone out, I have changed the pads and everything seems to be in working order... except when I run it once.. it looses the handlebar pressure and they no longer work. My buddy has the same bike and has the same problem... we tightened the cables in the back all the way - actually we did this right after changed because this is the only we originally got pressure...

We tried replacing the cables and same problem = no rear brakes. I'm getting used to it now, but there has to be something going on that two bikes have the same problem.

Anyone have any suggestions???

Do you have the brakes adjusted tight enough, so the cam that actuates the shoes isn't rolling over? Also is the arm that connects the cam to the cables in the proper spot? There is a dot marked on the arm and another mark on the backing plate to make sure that they are in the correct spots. Check that out.
