Default Help about buying a ltz 400

Hey guys, I was wondering if I could have some help about buying a ltz 400. Ill let you read what he has told me. Tell me what you think of it and get of the e-mail.

its a z400 as you know its a 2003 or 2004 im not to sure it has maxis razor 2 tires all the way around its yellow with a black seat ill have some pics for you by thursday because i dont keep it here for the winter its has some motor work done to it the head as been modfied and its has a biger carb and a jet kit aswell. alos it could use some new plastics it has all new barings all in the swing arm and axel carrier also i also have a brand new set of axel barrings to go with it im asking 2,000 for because i dont have much time to ride it and i dont want it to sit and rot you know as soon as i get pics ill send it to you ill have pics by thursday for sure ok just let me know if thats ok with you about the pics

He said that he will do 1500. It also has a underbody skid plate.

Default Help about buying a ltz 400

It's hard for me to accurately judge from a picture but I can give you some opinions. Judging from the pictures my first impression is that it looks a little hammered. Now the Z's are tough bikes ,so that being said, if he maintained it mechanically, you should be o.k. Replace some things that it needs and your set up o.k. It would be better for you if you can look at in person and hear it run and maybe even ride it(remember...it is used and there are never any guarantees). I will say that when I had my Z, it was a good reliable machine and it ran great but I also maintained it as well! Rule of thumb.....If the deal appears too good to be true...then it probably is. See if you can meet him and look at it in person, thats what I would do. Hopefully some of the others in here will give you some ideas as well.
