230 in the snow

Default 230 in the snow

i was just wondering if anyone else has a lt230 that they ride in the snow
my problem is the tires spin to much i cant get a real good traction my friends
honda 250ex will blast threw any snow in any gear but on mine i have to be in 4th to get any good traction mt tires arnet that bad at all so i dont know whats wrong

Nothing is "wrong", you just have a quad with more torque. I run 3-4lbs in the tires for normal use, snow time is just above 1lb. Take off in 2nd or 3rd and show him what a real quad does!!!

i got some taller tires on my buggy that i dont use in the winter if i tosed
thoes on would it decrease the tire spin

run mine in the snow and it spins a good bit. but its not like i cant get moving. all sportquads should have some traction problems in the snow, just depends on the power, weight, and tire tread as to how bad it does.

well its tough to get going because i like to pull my friends on sleds and snowboards where i live its flat so its the only sledding we can do

Yes. Diameter is more important than width concerning traction. A 1 mile wide tire that is only 2 inches high won't get you anywhere. A 1 mile tall tire would run over anything, even if its only an inch wide.

Put the biggest tires on you have and tie ropes around the tires n rim to act like paddles. Dont use chains unless you do a good job, if chains comes off it could be a safety hazard. Ropes probably wont hurt much.

have any one ever gotten watter in thier acceleter wire

i got water in mine and it froze so i heated it up and put some oil in thier
turns out the oil froze too and now it wont move at all

what can i do to stop it from frezing

It would have to be something like -40 for oil to freeze. You still have water in it.

it wasent oil it was some super cleaner and it dissloved the
cable so it saged funny and thats why the throttle wont move
