Yeah, lol. The raptor isn't anywhere near race ready tho. For one thing its not wide enough and its just as tall as any other race quad. The 1/4 liter 4-stroke class has always been "dumbed down" for some reason. Only the big bores get to enjoy the benefits of long suspension and a properly designed frame. Seems like the smaller you go the worse the quad handles.

You know they aren't that far away from one. If they would take the lt 250, get rid of the shaft drive, lower it a bit, make it a manual tranny with a clutch, and take away 50 lbs they would have it. Ya it would take some after market items to be competitive but what quad doesn't. To bad I don't work for Suzi.

Well it won't be "race ready" as real racers need it..... but they are going to release a new z250 to be more competitive with the Raptor 250 as you assumed.
Yamaha has raised the bar for the 250cc sports, and eventually everyone will have to rise up to meet it to some extent or they will lose many sales to the Raptor.

I like your way of thinking, any idea when? would it be a late release next year, I suppose it would be mearly speculation at this point. I will be excited to see it. My neice races the womens class with the Suzi 250 now because of her age (14). A rider that rides in the Amateur sport class had his Blaster melt down. To save his points she let him use the Suzi. It was quite a site to see him hit the clutch to shift when the gate dropped. (remember the left handle is a brake on this quad) LOL
