Default Thinking Of Buying the KingQuad 450 2008

Im looking into buying a new 2008 KingQuad 450. Checked out the Specs and everything and compared it to a few other brands and I like this the most. Does anyone have any input on it?? is it a good ride? I Live in BC, Canada so we got lots of mountain terrain and ill be doing lots of 4x4. They're also asking $7,999 for it.
What do you guys think about it???
Thanks in Advance

Can Am and Polaris make excellent 400s. Either will rip the KQ a new one.

The King Quad did get best 450 if you belive the rags!

Here in the States $6699 will get you a red, black,or green KingQuad 700. And a red or green 450 for $5995

The 450 is a great machine, but with your Loonie worth more than our dollar, for my money I'd look for a US dealer across the border from you and see what kind of machine you can get for your $7999.00 before you buy anything.

My wife rides ours and loves it! Keep in mind that it is just a 450 and sure..there are more powerful quads out there but in the end its your money and if you like it then you should get it . Also $7999 would get you into the 750 KingQuad here, so you have options. Good Luck and happy hunting!! Oh ....I ride the 450 from time to time and it does ride very nice and it has been very dependable!!!

Thanks for the comments. The reason im looking at the 450 and not 700 is because i dont need anything too big. I wanna be able to ripp around and not worry too much about the body roll. Also im not too big of a guy. 5'9 160lbs.
I was going to check out prices in the states but it might be a little of a hassle bringing it across the border. I'll see what i can do with the dealers here. TRy and get them to drop the price or throw some after market tires and **** on.
If theres any other opinions, get at me. Thanks!

Dam I wish I had the time to go cross border shoping. I'm sure I could have saved a few bucks.

I'm sure it wouldn't be to hard, to buy one in the States and bring it over. From what I heard you just have to pay the GST and a some kind of inspection fee which could be done at a place like Canadain Tire.

I just recenty bought a new 2008 KingQuad 450 with a Winch for $8000 out the door from a local dealer only like 10 minutes from me. Just to get to the border for me is like a 5-6 hour drive one way so it was allot eaiser for me to buy local.

So far I'm quite happy with my machine. Rides really nice and lots of power.

Does anyone know the process of exporting an atv out of the states? I live about 30 min away from the border and purchasing one from down there would save me a lot of paper. Is there any differences with the machines( USA Vs. Canada)
also if i do get it over, would i have to go through inspection??
Thanks in advance
