Default King Quad 700 Reliability?

I've been looking for a while. First I wanted a Polaris 500 and then a Yamaha Grizz 660, but after riding a KQ 700, I was hooked.

My question is, how reliable is this model? Any items that frequently go bad when compared to others? I know about swapping out the air filter, but is there anything else? How do they compare to the other models I was looking at?

Ride reviews and opinions are also welcome.

Thanks guys.

I have a King and love it. The first thing, as you said, was the air filter change out. Many have also said a caster mod is necessary but I have not done this yet. I like the machine due to the lower stance compared to other big bores. Remember that the extra stability comes at the expense of not having quite the clearance of other big bores. I like it due to the fact that I am only 5' 4" so the extra power with the low heighth is just right.
I hope this helps.

Wow, only one response to far.

A couple more questions.
-While looking over a PSN, thre has been some complaints about the steering. Has anyone experienced this problem? Is it something I should worry about and look to another machine?

-Anyone having any motor or drive train problems?

-How does it compare to the other big bores out there?

Steering may be a concern if you upgrade to bigger tires. A good website for king quad riders is http://www.nyrocatv.com/forum.cgi?viewcat=4

As far as comparison, the twins are faster and the Grizz is easier to steer. Again I like the stability of the KQ compared to the others.
