OK..I may get grief here but I'd go with the Yamaha. I had the Kodiak 450 for two years and I now have the King Quad 700 (same body as the 450). I feel the Yamaha was more comfortable, less bulky, and nimbler. I can't help you on the power issue because that wouldn't be apples to apples. Both have lockers and IRS however the King Quad has FI which is nice but not necessary.
Hope this helps.

The Zuke is the faster of the two, but the problem withe Zuke is size and pricing. Its as big and heavy as a KQ700 and for 500-1000 bucks more you can buy the 2007 KQ700.

If you can get a 700 for $500.00 more, why buy a 450?. I say shop around and get a 700.

It all depends on your preference as far as going to the 700. After a couple of years I plan to go back down to the 450 due to the fact it will do most things the 700 will and feel more comfortable doing it. The four wheel drive seems much "twitchier" on the King than the Kodiak ever did. Now I am only 5'4" and 80 lbs too.
That comparison says it all. I guess alot of it will come down to your size.
