Default 2005 Eiger fuel shut off position

A friend bought a used Eiger and can't figure out which position to turn the valve to shut off fuel to the carb for storage. Can somebody provide info. He doesn't have a owners manual.

There is no "OFF" position. The fuel valve has three settings:

1. ON - Bottom position. Fuel only flows if the engine is running or being started (vaccume assist). This is the position you want to use to store the machine.
2. RES - Top position. Typical reserve that gives you an additional .9 gallon.
3. PRI - 3 O'Clock position. Prime position lets gas run straight through. Definately don't use this position to store quad.

If he wants to leave the float bowl dry, which is a very good idea, especially if it doesnt run much... Then have him leave the gas valve in the on position, shut off the motor, then use the drain screw on the bottom of the float bowl, to drain the remaining gas.
