King Quad 450 advice needed
#1
A friend is having an issue with King Quad 450. I thought that I would reach out here or if you recommend another site just let us know. Thanks
Here it is-
Has anyone had a problem with your 450 KQ feeling and sounding as if the belt is slipping upon accelerating? We have had mine checked twice and the dealer cannot find any damage to the belt. They have checked with Suzuki for problems and recalls but they haven't any information. The last time we were at H/M another rider thought it was something to do with the clutch. I spoke with the service manager when making my appoiontment, and we tried explaining this today to the service department. and we were told this 'slipping' is just the way the 450 operates.
It seems the service department in Winchester has seen this on other 450's and owners have corrected the problem with an after market clutch kit. My question is, why should one have to make a purchase in order to correct a problem with a brand new machine? IMO, if this is happening to ALL 450's, then Suzuki should be finding out WHY it is happening.

Post this on the King Quad forums at www.nyrocatv.com for advice. As for Suzuki doing anything, forget it. ALL and I mean ALL ATV manufacturers believe consumers are stupid. They believe there is no way consumers are smarter than the engineers they paid millions of yen(dollars) to to design your toy. If you don't like the way they designed it, TUFF.
And yes, you can fix their mistakes with aftermarket parts. For which they will happily void your warranty. The only way this changes is for ATV sales to drop off a cliff.
