I tore my boot on my rear axle & went riding with it cut open(Dumby) heard some rattling towards the end of the ride so took it apart today & realised I broke the axle. Is there a ring or something that holds the outer knuckle to the axle? I have an older axle from the front & was hoping I might be able to use that knuckle if I could get it off. Can anyone tell me where I might be able to look at one online?

 

put the axle in a vise, and bang on the inner race of the cv joint, axle has a little ring that holds the cv in place, should just pop off with a little convincing

 

thanks That was kinda what I was thinking but didn't want to go banging on stuff without being sure. Last time I mushroomed the threads & had to get my axle rethreaded. Come to find out gorrilla send me an axle with bad splines.
