Has anyone snorkeled out a King Quad?
How did you seal the Air Box, and how did you attach the snorkel to the air box? Have any pictures to see how it is done?

I just picked up a used 2007, King Quad with only 248 miles on it,(brand new). I am putting tires on it today, 28" Mudlite XL's, and I will be snorkeling it out, if I can figure out how to attach the Snorkel and seal the old air intake.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Snorkeled out the tranny, but not the air box. Didn't want to cut a hole in it and not be able to seal it up well enough. So far hadn't had any issues, the breather is fairly high, and the front lifts so water hasn't gotten to it.

Did you snorkel out the breather box?

How did you seal it?

 

NO DID NOT DO THE AIR BOX . JUST LIKE YOU ONLY HAVE DONE DRIVE BELT IN/OUT TUBES. BUT I DO HAVE WATER THAT STILL GETS IN. CAN YOU HELP ME OUT . I HAVE THE TUBES SEALED UP PRETTY GOOD WITH NO LEAKS MY QUESTION TO YOU IS HOW DID YOU SEAL UP DRIVE BELT HOUSING OUTER COVER AND PART OF THE HOUSING THAT IS STILL ON THE BLOCK DID YOU SEAL AROUND THAT ALSO..

I used the factory rubber boots, I used 2" abs, and glued a Rubber Sleeve over the nipple to fill the factory boot. This made the first connection out of the factory boot approximately 2&1/2 OD, good fit, used radiator clamps to tighten instead of the factory clamps. Have tested it several times since and have have no leaks at all.
Hope this helps you. I may be able to take some pictures and send if you like. My only problem was, I ran a piece across in front of the block, about 1" clearance from the exhaust, but it started to melt the pipe. I bought a package of header wrap, and wrapped the abs, and about 8" of the exhaust and no problems at all. you can touch the abs and hold your hand on it now.

 

thats cool but you did not have to seal up around the drive belt cover at all or not.

on my drive in/out pipes i had a guy at work make me some reducers from the size of the factory boots down to 1 1/2in .dia. and ran them with no problems at all . and did not even half to cut anything to make work. but i just have a small leak still but in a trail run still i will find where it is coming from . and had it all done for about 77.00 so far.

 

i have pics i can show you how i did mine also it is always go to learn other ways it could help you me or someone else..
