I'm looking to replace the rears of my LTZ250. Stock tires are Dunlop KT165s. I would love to get the best out there but can't justify $200 for just casual trail riding. Criteria;

>Fit on stock rim (stock tire size is 20x10-9 although I think 20x11-9 will fit ok)
>Good all around trail riding tire for casual->moderate riding
>Soil conditions tend to be heavy (clay etc.)

Anyone got a good recommendation/source?

Thanks,
Jon.

I have Kenda Dominators in the front and back and i love them. I got a deal of 60 for both but i think they are only 55 each new. They look a lot like the hole shots and they dont wear too easy. I love them.

For a sport quad I would get the lightest tires I can. And I would want a tire that doesn't get too much traction so I can burn out and slide around easy. I would not get a race tire... they're just not that much fun to ride... Too sticky.

2 or 3 lbs per tire doesn't sound like much, but you can sure tell the difference riding it. Trac Stars are the lightest tires out and Kenda Klaws work pretty well for sliding and still having good straight line traction (plus they are reversable for hard or soft ground). Dunlops are pretty light too, but they're just too hard to shop for. They have about 1000 tires and each tire seems to have only one size. Too confusing to me.

Last time I needed tires I went on Rocky Mt ATV site and they had some returns that were about half the price of normal
