i am going to split my bottom cases on my lt500 does anybody have any tips for me on doing this my buddy said its a pain in the but is it really that big of a deal and that hard to do this i never did it before how long will it take and do i need any special tools any help would be great he said i will need the book for this also and i dont have anything like that to show me what i am doing HELP

 

I've heard its hard to do.why are you splitting them?

 

where the rear axle connects the right side case is broke and you can see axle bolt so I am going to put new right side case on

 

I've seen guys that have had their cases welded.But if you do take the cases apart let me know how hard it was to do.

 

im splitting my lt250r right now u can get a cd manual for $1 on ebay don't take the piston off use ti with an air gun to take off the bolts the block spliting tool is $185 a shop willl do it for $130-$150 just to split the cases it might be wirth it to buy the tools then sel them

 

wow is it really that big of a deal where it is broke you can see the bolt if they weld it will it be able to move or should I say pivit like it should just want it to be able to move like it should

 

well I tried to split and no luck didnt want to damage case guess I need tools to split I am going to take to weld shop and just see if they can fix it tore it apart and now I can't get it started think I might have a compression release valve installed my leg got really tired from kicking the $h!t out of it any ideas on how to start was so wondering if pull starting will hurt it since it has brand new jug and whole top end any ideas
