Default 2003 need help bad!!!!!

What its been doing is on one of my riding trips it started up and ran fine for about 10 min and then just died like it had run out of gas. However it did start back but when I put it in gear to pull out it would just die. After I got home it started right up and no more problem even took it to the local track and rode all day a couple of times and went to Brimstone Recreation and again it ran like a champ. Then we went back to brimstone this weekend and for the first 20 min or so she ran like a champ. We stoped to check our map and she would not start finally got it started and it kept backfiring and tring to bog out but I kept reving it to keep it running (it did die a few times). When I got to the top of the mountain the problem just went away and it ran like a top the rest of the day. If there is a problem I would like to fix it because it really sucks to haul your quad 3 hours one way and then she does not want to run. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

I had a similar problem with my old scrambler I had. We were at Hatfield & McCoy (of all places) and my quad kept bogging/backfiring and would die here and there. It turned out being my air filter (I figured it out AFTER the trip). You might check that. If your still having problems then I would go through fuel system. Make sure your fuel filter is cleaned out. Check your jets in your carb and clean them out. If your still having problems even after knowing your air/fuel system is good then it could be an electrical issue. Just start checking the easy things first before you start really taring into things.

I had the exact problem with my lakota. Turned out to be a bad connection in the electrical. Fire the bike up and move the wires arround and see what happens.
