Default changing front sprocket

is it worth dropping down from a 14 to a 13 tooth.

Default changing front sprocket

I have the 13 tooth (was there when I bought it) on mine so I've never known any different. I've heard that it is easier on the drive train to go up 2 or 3 teeth on the rear sprocket.
I still feel as though I'm between 2nd and 3rd too much in the dunes though I am getting more comfortable in 3rd.

It's a cheap mod for like $15-20, gives you more low-end snap. No problems on my drive-train, I've been putting 13's on it since 03.
